Six Appeal for Ossett in FA Trophy Tie

Ossett United 6-0 Colwyn Bay

Six appeal for United as Ossett Thrash the Bay in FA Trophy Tie

Ossett United took full advantage of Colwyn Bay being reduced to 9 men. Luke Horrocks was shown a straight red just after the 2nd half whistle after supposedly slapping United’s Marko Basic and was joined 15 minutes later by teammate Danny Andrews. The first half saw Ossett United dominating the play without being able to find the net until the 10th minute when Karl Jones was brought down in the box after a late challenge from Colwyn Bay’s Josh Brizell. United’s Adam Priestley stepped up to fire the ball into the net from the penalty spot on 10 minutes. The half continued in similar vein without United managing to increase their lead. Within 10 minutes of start of the second half 2 Colwyn Bay players had been shown straight red cards. Luke Horrocks and Danny Andrews were both dismissed and left their team-mates with a mountain to climb. Ossett United pressed their advantage home with a vengeance. First Aidan Chippendale scored from an impressive distance with a floating shot over Patrick Rutter in the Colwyn Bay goal. Then Marcus Day, Priestley and Jones all added to the score from close-range. In the final minute Priestley nipped in to complete his hat- trick and Colwyn Bay’s misery after a defender had chested the ball back, but short of Rutter.
