Terriers To Face an Experimental United Squad As Welsh Looks To Promote Youth.
Tonight United entertain a Huddersfield Town XI at Ingfield in a game that will see a predominantly U19's Town side face an experimental Ossett United. Six players from Uniteds youth structure will be included along side some senior players. They are:
Odun Odebe, Jack Alton, Eddie Church, Myles Foley, Jake Bird and Finn Ellis.
Church and Bird of course have been called up previously for first team duties and will most certainly be the more experienced youth players however Odebe and Alton are having a fantastic season in the reserves and will be very keen to make an impression in fornt of the fans and first team coaches. "This is a great opportunity for the younger players to play alongside the seniors and learn what life is like in the first team. I am constantly looking for young players to break through and this can be seen right through the club. Adam Porritt, Marko Basic, Marcus Day and Lebrun Mbeka are all players that people forget are only still learning the game. Tonight will be very useful for many people." Said Andy Welsh.
After a dissapointing weekend United's players will be looking to dust themselves down this evening and put in a strong performance that takes them into a positive mood for the weekends fixture against Stocksbridge Park Steels.
